The scar over his right eye ached, every time he saw those happy faces, all smiling and oh so warm, he could feel the phantom pain from the knife almost carving his eye out. Every time his scar ached or whenever he sees it, it reminded him of how he was tossed aside like an old toy, it reminded him how his own 'mother' would sometimes forget about him in favor of his younger sister, it reminded him how his supposed 'father' would give all his attention to his daughter and would forget that he even had a son.
