It's another Homestuck RoseMary fanfic. I often like to make the title of the story I wrote by the song I was listening to when the inspiration came. Listen to the song Miserable At Best by Mayday Parade. :) The setting is on Alternia where Karkat Vantas arranged a prom event for the beta kids. It's on Kanaya Maryam's point of view as she tackles on sadness and letting go of her soulmate, for responsibility.

Kanaya Maryam along with her friend Karkat Vantas from District 8 are thrown into the cruel walls of The Hunger Games when they are picked as tributes. Along the horrifying bloodbath, they meet two blondes - brother and sister - from District 6 and they become allies. Kanaya knows they are supposed to be enemies in the end, but something about the mysterious and snarky Rose Lalonde that she finds herself catching the blonde girl when she falls. Also, the themesong of this fanfic is 'Now' by Paramore. I do not own the cover photo.

It's been years since Rose Lalonde has seen her matesprit Kanaya Maryam. The game has ended, and they won. Unfortunately, they had to part ways after it.
