Tyler Joseph's soul is dying. Joshua Dun's is already long gone but his spirit lives on. It becomes tied to Tyler, a boy who moves into the house across the street from where Joshua and his family was murdered. Tyler begins to slip away but Joshua won't give up that easily. After a night with a ouija board, Tyler can finally see him. They quickly become best friends and spend every waking moment together. But Josh has some demons to fight. Polaris is best known as the North Star, used to help sailors find their way home when stranded in the ocean. Not only sailors may benefit from its guidance. Lost souls who are weary use the star by wishing upon it, and sometimes, that wish is granted. Tyler Joseph wishes he could be his old self again; vibrant and full of life. He's tired of hiding from the world that stole his innocence and trust. A comet crashes to Earth, landing in Tyler's backyard. Inhabiting it is Tyler's saving grace. Josh wishes to control his anger. He doesn't want to end up like his father. He knows he can be better. He lies awake and wonders if his wish will be granted as well.

Tyler kocha spać. Potrafi zasnąć w każdym miejscu i o każdej porze. A Josh kocha obserwować śpiącego Tylera. Uwierzcie mi na słowo, nie ma nic piękniejszego, niż widok jego spokojnej, pogrążonej we śnie twarzy.

Tyler ma ciekawą fantazję, a Josh jako dobry przyjaciel pomaga mu ją spełnić. No cóż, może to co się wydarzyło nie zniszczyło ich relacji, ale zniszczyło jego relację z kobietą, z którą wiązał swoją przyszłość.
