The team had found refuge at a Wakanda Asylum. Wanda sometimes would visit Bucky who was in a deep cryogenic sleep. She talked to him when she needed it. Yore, meaning "a time long ago", has a sentimental or nostalgic tone to it. Pietro and Wanda Maximoff are being built as the next wave of HYDRA super weapons. The Winter Soldier is reawakened and brought in to train the future assassins. Thus commences a story of newfound love, hope and ultimately heartbreak.

Pietro's death is still haunting Wanda. She can't seem to find a reason to be happy again. That is until she meets James Buchanan Barnes. Steve Rogers brings James AKA Bucky to the new Avengers compound where Bucky meets the new Avengers. Wanda wants to let Bucky in, but she's afraid too. She's scared to lose another person she cares about. Bucky is determined to win Wanda over one way or another. But disaster strikes as soon as Bucky and Wanda are about to confess their feelings. A wanted madman who escaped from Hydra years before, kidnaps Bucky and reverts him back to The Winter Soldier. It's The Winter Soldier vs The Avengers. Wanda is against all of it, but she'll do everything she can to save the man she cares about. She is not going to lose another loved one.

Wanda had never been so alone, out of place and numb, but that changed after her brother died. Fortunately, there was a certain someone that never gave up on her and gave her a second chance. The Captain was so nice to her that made her felt something again. Something she didn't believe she could ever feel after losing Pietro. But it didn't take much time for The Soldier to come along and mixed her feelings.
