-undergoing minor editing- In Book One of the NLTG series, Regina Hayden stumbles her way into Bruce Wayne's car and a new life as his protege, Jet Starling. However, after an incident at a LexCorp warehouse, Jet Starling is transformed into Pyrrha, member of the Light and enemy of the Justice League and the Team. In her first months as Pyrrha, she battles with her ever-mounting rage over Batman's betrayal, the Light who is constantly pushing her to her ethical limits, and her growing attraction to the sociopathic Lex Luthor. Surrounded by lies, Pyrrha finds herself needing to find who she truly is inside. Homicidal-prone villain or used and confused hero? --- "I don't believe you! I don't believe any of this! They wouldn't do this to me! They wouldn't abandon me!" I stumbled to the bed to hold on to something, anything. In the tussle with the two brutes, equipment was strewn throughout the room, including a metallic bed pan. In the vague reflective surface, I saw two red lights staring back at me. Frantically, I scavenged the room for a mirror but only found a glass cupboard door and saw my face clearly. No. Not my face. Her face. It was my features but none of my color. The skin was smooth. Too smooth and white. Colorless, in fact. Except for when my veins began pumping brighter and brighter the more panicked I became. My once grey eyes were now a burning red. My short hair, long. This wasn't my reflection. This was a monster. A demon. I fell to my knees and held my face in my hands as fire began erratically bursting from my skin, only terrifying me more. I felt a hand gently pull my hand from my face and held it tight. I looked up to see Luthor, the surprise calming my sporadic flames. His face was genuinely sad even as he winced from my heat. "Darling, don't fall apart," he whispered. "What am I?" I pleaded, still on the brink of tears. "A god among men." --- Spotify playlist link in profile

In Book Two of the NLTG series, Pyrrha and the Light prepare for the invasion of the Reach. Kaldur'ahm's involvement with the Light proves dangerous for Pyrrha as her secrets and inner demons threaten to ruin everything she's attained. As her suspicions of Kaldur'ahm and nightmares of her past consume her, Lex misreads the situation and sees the Atlantean as a threat to his relationship with Pyrrha. When he finally goes too far in an effort to control her, Pyrrha finds herself torn between love and survival. While the Justice League and the Team are busy saving the world, who will save Pyrrha? --- "This is over," I said quietly, pulling my hands from his. Panic filled Lex's eyes. I couldn't stand to see it so I turned to leave. "Darling, please! If you need a break then take all the time in the world but don't," he grabbed my arm tight and pulled me back, "Don't do this, Pyrrha." I looked at his hold on my arm remembering how Nightwing used to pull on me, how my foster parents used to yank me around, how anyone in authority thought they had the right to grab me. "I forgot how much I hated that," I whispered to myself. I glared at Lex's wild eyes. "What made you think you can grab me like this? You are nothing to me." --- Spotify Playlist for Paranoia: Click the link in my profile, go to my Spotify profile, click 'Paranoia' *Warning: Phobias, relationship abuse, Narcissistic abuse, sociopathic behavior.*

In Book Three of the NLTG series, Pyrrha is in protective custody of the Justice League as she heals from Queen Bee's coup and Lex Luthor's betrayal. As time heals her body, the Team--sans Nightwing--try to heal her heart and save their friend from letting her pain consume her. As all of the lies and secrets surrounding Pyrrha come out, can she find who she truly is before it's too late? --- "On the off chance Pyrrha is alive and watching, what would you say to her?" He thought for a moment and turned to face the camera. A chill came over me as I saw his acid green eyes again. "If you are lost and feeling alone, Pyrrha, I just want you to know I forgive you. I'm not Lost, Pyrrha, and neither should you be." I choked back a sob but instead I could hear laughing. It wasn't until I had to breathe that I realized it was me. Laughing like a maniac, like the villain I was, laughing in a room full of heroes who had heard their own nemeses laugh in a similar way. The screen turned off and I stopped my psychotic breakdown to turn and see Kaldur holding the remote. His light green eyes blazed as they challenged me to turn him to ash. I walked to him, glowing a deep, angry red, until we stood toe to toe but he didn't back down. "Stop. Protecting. Me." "From who," he growled. "I don't know if I should protect you from him--or yourself." --- Update Schedule: Saturdays Spotify playlists for series on my profile.
