"You see, yes I loved your mother, but she wasn't my choice, she was my parents choice not mine. I married her right after your grandfather died, because it was his soul dying wish. Of course, I fell in love with her over time, and then when I lost her I was heart broken, but it's not the kind of feeling I feel now. I was angry and resentful because she died and I had no one. I felt I was all alone in this world. I was lonely, I admit that, and continued to be through the years. I wore my loneliness behind a mask for many years. But then I met her I felt something new, something I never really felt for your mother. But what made it even more special this time was that, she was my choice."

In the Home of Elrond of Rivendell, there is a warrior known for her skill and grace in combat and by the rare color of her eyes. Mantheniel, who had also been called "flame of the dragon" had spent her life training to become a warrior to protect the people she loved. Haunted by the past -despite her name and reputation, she had a fear of fire; for her city had burned to ash when she was a child. The fire took the lives of all those she loved. She had been found by Lord Ellithoir, the captain of the Kings guard of Rivendell. With Lord Elrond's help, she had found a new home in Rivendell working under the watchful eyes of Elrond and trained with Ellithior. Almost two centuries have passed, before she was named second in command by Lord Elrond himself. By then, everyone knew of the flaming haired Elleth who survived dragon fire. Thranduil gives a place of refuge to an elleth and her young child, saving their lives and giving them protection. Centuries later, he is ambushed in the forest by a furious female, who challenges him in a fight to the death. Rage, tears, and truths emerge, and he is stunned at the elleth's identity. Could it possibly be the same child who had run riot in his palace hundreds of years before, creating mischief at every turn and leading a young Legolas down a path of anarchy? And if it was, why was it her mission to take his life? As both struggle to come to terms with what they know, feelings change, and the King finds himself falling in love with the inferno of angry fire who destroys the defences around his heart. Can they find a way to overcome the past and be together? Or will the lies and betrayal keep them as enemies until time runs out? A shocking twist ruins a peaceful lull between the two, creating even more heartache, as events crash out of control.

The relationship between Thranduil and Tauriel after the Battle of the 5 Armies. How Tauriel is dealing with the aftermath of the battle as she goes back to Mirkwood and realizes that she has always wanted Thranduil's love and affection in her life. It turns out there has been more behind their turbulent relationship than they let themselves believe. The story follows their relationship from the days and weeks after the battle to many years later, during the events from LOTR and after. I absolutely loved their chemistry in the Hobbit and this is my first fanfic. I tried to keep the characters as close to the movie versions as I could (since Tauriel only appears in the movies and Thranduil's personality is only vaguely presented in the books). I am also including info about what happened to Thranduil's realm after the Hobbit from the LOTR book appendices... There will also be feasts and celebrations along the way! #partykingthranduil Rated mature for some chapters. #thrandiel #1 in thranduilfanfic #6 in Tauriel

VALAR MORGHULIS ° They now believe the dragons are gone. Queen Daenerys Targaryen was murdered by the man she loved most, with her daughter Rhaenyra witnessing the whole ordeal. The little Princess mounted her mother's dragon and fled King's Landing with the intentions of putting as much distance between her and those who might harm her as possible. But she did not get very far. Rhaenyra, shortly after hosting a lonely funeral pyre for her mother's corpse, was caught in one of the worst storms in living memory. All went dark but she did her best to not lose her grip on Drogon who tried his hardest to stay aloft despite the harsh rain and wind. Then suddenly a there was light again and Rhaenyra found that Drogon had landed in the middle of a wide green field in a world where she did not recognize anything and anyone. She is but a child of just six namedays and not counting the great dragon that she now riders, there is no one else by her side. That is until a kind of wizard dressed entirely in grey finds a small child with hair of silver and eyes like amethysts curled up against the side of an enormous dragon. ° VALAR DOHAERIS ° This is my first crossover and yes it is another book with a Targaryen OC, I am still in denial over what happened during most of season 8 and this is my way to cope. That and Lee Pace as Thranduil in the Hobbit movies was just something special. ° STARTED: 20 December 2019 FINISHED: ---
