His name is Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III. 8 years ago, he had to run away from his beloved home Berk because he became best friends with a creature that no Viking should ever become friends with: a dragon. Complete!!! Hiccup was always a nuisance to the vikings on Berk. He was viewed as a runt, a shame, and a screw up. That all changed when he became the top of dragon training, and finally gets the chance everyone thought he only dreamed of. To kill a dragon in front of the entire village. Stoick was proud of his son, he had almost lost hope in him. Now, he proved everyone wrong, or so they thought. Hiccup wanted nothing more than to have this chance his entire life! However, that was before he met and bonded with Toothless, a night fury he had shot down weeks ago. Now, he wanted to escape, but not without attempting to convince the vikings that dragons weren't the real threat. He thought his monstrous nightmare match would be the perfect setting for such a feat. When things go sideways, when Toothless saves Hiccup, he has a choice, stay and try one last shot of convincing Berk, or flee with his best friend. He chooses the best option, he flees. Now, he is branded as a trator, a renegade. Stoick practically disowns him and he is never heard from again. five years later, Berk hears mighty tales of a grand hero who rides a night fury. Many call him 'Night Rider', 'Dragon Tamer', and 'Mysterious Rider'. Many doubted that this hero could be their traitorous ex heir to the Berkian leadership. After all, he was described as having a prosthetic leg, very tall, confident, and extremely buffed, while Hiccup was the opposite of all these descriptions. But... why then, has this new hero never visited Berk? And what will happen when he finally dose? Feel free to comment! I will also edit things I want everything to be amazing. Same as any other. A fifteen year old Hiccup runs away, well, rather he flies, from Berk. Because He couldn't kill the Monstrous Nightmare in front of the Village, and he saw no other option. But he will return to Berk unexpectedly.

What if Hiccup had never shown Berk the truth about dragons? What if he was chased off instead of leaving on his own? Can he survive in the wild with Toothless? Or will he go wild himself?

Hiccup was having a strange day, that's for sure. After all, it's not every day you get mysteriously sent back to the life you lived, 5 years ago. Hiccup (from HTTYD2) gets sent back in time to HTTYD1 AU.

Hiccup Haddock the Third was an outcast from his own village, even to his father. When he met Toothless, he felt something he has lost long ago. The belonging of a family. He never thought he could leave Berk. However, when he was chosen to kill the Monstrous Nightmare, his own fears were overcome by something else. The feelings to protect his own. He never thought of coming back. But fate had other plans.

It's not every day that the runt of the litter finds out he's been prophesied back some thousand years ago to become a King - or rather, a Dragon King. [This Fanfic follows the ideas and setup from Cressida Cowells book "How to train your Dragon" while taking the fellow characters and scenery from "How to train your Dragon" the movie created by "Dreamworks" with a new twist on the storyline of both. ]

Hiccup had a secret. A pretty big one to. He's part dragon. What happens when his friends find out. Will they fear him, or will they except him for who he is?
