Now rewritten and available in paperback on Amazon! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08PJM3C9L A city of beasts. A black fog. A portal to hell. Demons roaming the streets. When Palethorn was covered in a thick, black fog, anyone who entered never returned. Now Sir Alexander is tasked with entering the fog, traveling the city, and putting an end to the demons once and for all. Joined by Alexander is a small group of survivors. Some of the monsters of Palethorn have managed to escape during the demon invasion, and lie hiding in the sewers under the city, waiting for the nightmare to end. Birdmen, bugmen, lizards and kobolds gather underground, hoping to assist the humans in vanquishing the demons from their home. Dragons roam the outskirts of the city, offering a glimpse of hope for the people of the city. Some powerful beasts oppose the forces of hell. Originally rated mature, but after getting this added to various smut lists I removed the mature tag. The opening is tame, but there's some serious violence later on. This story was inspired by other works such as Dark Souls and D&D.

"Who are you?" the supervillain asks. His breathless voice is surprisingly soft. I slam my hands on either side of him, leaning in so close my nose touches his mask. I'm the taller one. "You might not be able to see it, but you're capable of doing incredible things. If it's anyone that can get us through this...it's you." Zane said slowly. **** Arden is a disparate. Meaning she's different in kind; definitely not like other people. In a world where people, gods, goddesses, and creatures of Greek Mythology fit into modern society, Arden is one of those people. Her mother is Athena, goddess of wisdom and creative arts. Just like her mother, Arden is bright, clever, and extraordinary. Like Arden, All disparates are offsprings from a Greek mythical being and a human; they're demi-gods. They possess certain powers that are unique to their being. When Arden and her best friend Ace -the son of Apollo- transfer schools, they quickly make some new friends, and in time they find out their new friends are disparates too. In fact, there are a few attending the school. When a group of not-so-good disparates put a dangerous plan in action, it's up to her and her friends to stop them to save what they believe in. It's all up to them, the son of Ares, the daughter of Nike, the son of Apollo, the daughter of Artemis, and the son of the one and only powerful god, Zeus. What if we were the first in our part of the galaxy to discover the secret of faster than light travel? What if this discovery was 10,000 years before it was supposed to be? Our neighbors had been watching for centuries and were surprised with our early arrival into the Web of Worlds... The Year is 2166: To the people of Earth, the universe seemed to be a very lonely place. Astronomers have discovered tens of thousands of planets; many had indications of organic life. SETI had been searching for signals for over 200 years. There had been a few tantalizing bits of radio or radar energy received but nothing ever proven to be of intelligent origin. But there was an alien civilization out there, in fact many of them linked together in a Web of Worlds. They were watching us quietly, carefully and patiently. It had long been the prime directive of the Web that no developing civilization be contacted until that civilization made it into interstellar space on their own; and that always took time, lots of time. Most Web worlds took 1,000 years or more to go from steam to the atom and none had made it from the atom to a sublight stardrive in less than 5,000 standard years. Every civilization of The Web had proven that faster than light travel was impossible, so there was plenty of time to watch the Earth... The watchers were astounded with the speed of progress of human science and also horrified at the periods of violence. By 2076 nuclear fusion power was widespread on earth. By 2100 the first interplanetary fusion ships explored the Sol system. The men and women of the Anglosphere Alliance began their first missions in ships approaching 0.1c. At that velocity, manned flight to even the nearest stars would take a lifetime. What would happen if a beautiful engineer and a brilliant physicist stumbled upon an artificial gravity field which would make a faster than light drive possible...
