Daryl Dixon is completely on his own. After the Saviors burn down Alexandria, he thinks that he is the only survivor. Living without the group that he has come to love, has left him as nothing more than a shell of the man he used to be. One day after a brutal fight, he stumbles upon a run-down shack in the woods. As he lay dying on the dirty floor, his life is saved by a complete stranger. These two loners find that living life together is so much better than doing it alone. I haven't written a story in the first person since Broken. It's not as easy as it sounds, but I enjoyed the challenge. This story has taken me months to write and I finished it just days after the Season 8 midseason finale. Any similarities to that episode are pure coincidence. I wrote the chapter (You'll know which one) months before Season8 even started. For anyone that is newly following me or reading my books, I write differently than most. You only start to get chapters once the entire story is written. And it finally is. I hope everyone enjoys Angel.

But life wasn't fair anymore, and Breanna understood that. Therefore, when on one rainy night she encountered a prison full of survivors she was taken aback by her luck. I couldn't feel them, I couldn't feel anything except a hole in my stomach. Once we had gotten far enough I broke myself away and went further ahead with my gun to make sure it was clear. Unsure whether the younger girl is still alive, her faith is slowly slipping. Everything is starting to fall apart, from the lack of food and water to sleep deprivation. Life is broken. That's the only way to explain this damned world. You can't do anything without second guessing your decision, you think that what ever you do is wrong and I can't even count the number of times I've lost my morales. I've had to do things that you should only have to see in the movies. Killing should only be something you hear on the news, but now I don't get a day without hearing people cry and whimper for help or mercy. The world is broken, and it's all thanks to the damned corpses that rise up everyday and chow down on the living. The only reason I haven't given up hope, the only reason I haven't stopped fighting, the only reason I haven't sent a bullet through my brain is because of one thing. This thing that keeps me going, this thing fuels my body, this thing that makes me fight these diseased ridden freaks, is love. The love I have for my family and friends is the only thing that's kept me here, it's the only reason I walk the earth with the dead. Included among my family and friends is the biggest reason I didn't die at the beginning, he's one of the biggest reason's why I protect the prison with my life. Elizabeth was alone since the beginning of the outbreak. Her clumsiness often got her in terrible situations. A group finds her and brings her back to their camp. She gets stuck with the redneck whose social skills aren't all that great. She finds herself feeling something for this older man. She's too young to love, but sometimes you can't fight it. *** Does not follow the storyline very much.
