As we pull up in front of my mansion, I prepare myself for the conversation I'm about to have with my wife. It's a little after midnight and I see the blinds move in the living room and I know she is awake. Awake and pissed. As I walk through the front door, I hear her padding towards me. I'm not scared of much. But all 5'0 of my wife is terrifying. She is fuming as she walks to me but then I notice the confusion as she stares at the bundle of blankets in my arms. Thinking quickly, I push the baby into her arms. She can't hit me if she is holding a baby. "Ares?!" She whisper yells. She looks at the baby and then her eyes snap up to mine. "Hello my love." I peck her lips while she is still in shock. "Don't 'hello my love' me! Where did this baby come from?!" She isn't looking at me anymore. She is stroking the baby's cheek. She is completely mesmerized by her already. "Her father is no longer of this earth. Her mother died giving birth to her. She is alone. She is almost two." Her eyes snap to mine. "Two? She looks much younger than that." "She has had a hard life. Her father was into drugs. I haven't heard her speak other than crying." "Poor baby." I stand there watching my wife fall in love with the toddler. "What's her name?" My beautiful wife asks. "McKenna." "She's beautiful." She whispers. "She's ours." "What?" She looks at me with tears in her eyes. "The Caregiver and the Mob Boss" ❦ Avelina makes her money by taking care of those who can't take care of themselves. When she is handed a case about a man who had needed a personal caregiver, she accepts. One thing Avelina never anticipated was the dangerous lifestyle he lived. Not only that, but she didn't expect for him to be so incredibly good-looking. Adrik Zolotov, the Russian mobster that everyone called "Mad Hatter". His insanity and crave for blood left him the most feared man of all. All he wanted was power and those around him to fear him. For a man recently diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome, everyone believed him to be emotionally incapable of ever loving anyone. . . Imagine their surprise when he meets Avelina. ❦ "Mr. Zolotov, I have to make sure you bathe before I leave. It's apart of my jobs protocol," she said softly. The truth was that he made her feel nervous. There was so much coldness and evil in his eyes, it left a chill to run down her spine. "Fine," he stated before walking over to his bathtub. Her eyes followed his movements as he pulled off his shirt causing her to lick her lips and quickly look away. She could hear the sound of more clothes falling onto the ground until the sound of water running littered her eardrums. "You assist when asked, isn't that right?" He asked. Slowly, she opened her eyes to see that he had already gotten into the shower. "Yes," Avelina answered. "Bathe me." ❦ Dangerously far from cliché

"Will you reject me?" I ask, ignoring the lump that was forming in my throat. I fought the tears that were threatening to fall. Don't cry, please Hannah, don't cry. His green eyes looked like orbs of ice that stared straight through me. A sadistic smirk pulls up his lip and he puts his arm on my right side, blocking my escape route. "Reject you? That's an easy escape, don't you think?" his voice was as cold as his eyes, as his heart. "The moon goddess gave me you and I'll simply pay her for her kindness." his tone was laced with venom, hatred and disgust. "If she thinks that I can ever accept an Omega as my mate, she's damned wrong." "to those who grew up too fast" A/N: Hey there! "Mommy are you in wuv with the nice man?" She asks, her eyes all wide. I raise an eyebrow at her, looking into her matching eyes. "What makes you think that sweetheart?" I ask her. She sighs over dramatically. "Mom. Please. He's like always staring at you." She says all serious like, her hands on her hips. I feel myself blush, does he really? "Oh, I see. No honey, he's just my boss" I answer her, pinching her cheek. She smiles widely, a glint in her eye, "someday!" She giggles. **MATURE LANGUAGE AND IDEAS - NOT SUITABLE FOR YOUNG READERS**
