"Sometimes the hardest thing in life is accepting that no matter what you do, you can't plan for everything to end accordantly. Sometimes, it's the mere fact of trying that causes things to unfold in the most unexpected ways. And sometimes, allowing one small change in your daily life can cause the biggest ripple effect. For me, the change in my daily routine came in form of a girl with purple eyes and black wings. Our first encounter, whether an answer to one of my many forgotten prayer, alternate my view of reality. Unbeknownst to me, Alexandra McCartney was a walking sin waiting to be forgiven, and I was the answer to her silent prayers." Fixtured with routines and habits, Skylar Charms has only even known one thing; nothing is permanent and everything is subject to change. It was a lesson she learned early on in life and because of it, she was contempt with finding familiarity in the inconsequential routines she established. For Skylar, she was okay with being simple because with simplicity comes a sense of innocence, something she couldn't find anywhere else in her new home town. What was meant to be a routine school year for Skylar toppled when she met Alexandra McCartney, who unlike her, found familiarity in the chaos of things. All it took, however, was one insignificant answer for a saint to meet a forgivable sinner. (Cover model - Candice Swanepoel) Update: Currently being edited with small detail changes and added information. All chapters until "Abnormal" have been improved upon.

BOYxBOY || ACTION || ROMANCE || FANTASY || LGBT Wickeds have grown to a whopping 3% of the entire U.S. population. No one knows where they originated, or how they came to be. Some contest that they were ever human at all, but 'Demon spawn', or 'sons of Satan'. Sometimes they're just simple college students, making their way in the bustling city of Seattle. It's been three years since Kailan Tsai and Vincent O'Connor have seen each other's faces. After their dramatic pasts, they were separated by fate itself, only to be reunited once again--and under the same roof, at that. Rekindling their friendship would be an easy task at hand, but deep emotions lie beneath calm waters. Can they survive in a world set on destroying them, or will they bite back? In a world of wickeds, nothing is absolute.

It's a game we play in his basement after sunday service. And sometimes on Wednesdays too. You only know about it if you know where to look. And who to ask. Us queer boys have to be careful like that, because this is the kind of town you don't walk out of alive unless you're hiding. But the truth is, I wanna marry a boy one day right out in the open. Right here near the ranches and the streams with the blessings of my momma and dad. But those are kids dreams. And if you try that you end up dead. Like that boy. But I. Still. Dream. I can't stop and how cruel can the world be to expect otherwise? To shame me for wanting more? So I play my games quietly. ______________________ Gabriel is an average, teenage boy in the south a little before the 2000's. He goes to school and then works part time at an old feed store. That's it. That's his life, except for the gay part. Stuck in a small town with even smaller minds long before the idea of gay marriage being legalized even existed, he finds ways to vent both his sexual frustration and internalized homophobia in the most unlikely place: the arms of the pastor's eldest son. But is a quick fix really what he's looking for? Or is there more for him, something deeper, across the hall with the pastor's younger son? (*NOTE: Not a love triangle, lol don't worry) _______________________ Author's Note: This was loosely inspired by a few stories I read on a website called Lakeweed At Arrow Head, particularly Beyond the Rain by Grasshopper. It dealt with a gay couple in the south coming to terms with not only themselves but each other. It simultaneously broke my heart with the isolation they faced, but also made me feel their love for each other and even themselves through every word. Every sentence. I hope those emotions are reflected in this, even just a little.
