It's not until her first encounter with an infected that makes her finally realize she needs to escape to find the one person she has left, her father. While on the road by herself, she comes across a group that has a camp near Atlanta and they take her in rather quickly. All goes fine and well, until someone in the group finds a bite mark on Elaine's arm, causing everyone to grow with worry. However, since she only had one interaction with an infected, many speculation leads everyone to conclude one thing. Elaine is immune. [SEASON ONE]
