Something is abducting human beings. The vanishings are spreading further and further throughout human-held systems and those responsible leave no traces behind. Their motives and their methods are unknown, and it is not long before Darien, Amber, and the Blink Operatives of Hammerhead Squad are drafted into an interstellar manhunt to find the perpetrators. Chasing down leads on a dozen inhabited worlds, the young operatives soon discover that the truth behind the abductions is more terrifying than any of them could have realised. The highly anticipated follow-up to the ⋕1 Wattpad hit DEAD IN BED is here. Bailey's and Ashley's sagas continue in the heart-wrenching finale to Adrian Birch's totally unique meta novel. ----------------------------------------------- Haven't read Book 1 yet? Check it out here: https://www.wattpad.com/story/25536264-dead-in-bed-by-bailey-simms-book-1 You've never, ever read a book like this. When a sexually-transmitted plague breaks out in Ashley Young's small town, leaving its victims with a bizarrely amplified libido, everything about her life changes. DEAD IN BED is partly a suspense thriller with a strikingly unique story, partly a page-turning mystery about a disease that makes people hopelessly crave sexual contact, and partly a neo-western adventure in the American heartland. For readers who can handle a smart, controversial female protagonist who's willing to do anything -- no matter how difficult or morally questionable -- in order to survive, the series pulls them in like an unshakeable addiction. . . . Bailey Simms, teen author of DEAD IN BED, is stuck at home with a rare medical condition. Writing is her only escape, so she's determined to keep her salacious series hidden from her strict father. Soon an older boy starts to secretly help her, and Bailey finds new opportunities for freedom she's never had. But as DEAD IN BED grows in popularity, and Bailey's fans start to clamor for the sequel, she learns that being a successful Wattpad author may come with a terrifyingly dangerous price.

Book 1 of The Uncommon Series, the bestselling tech startup thriller trilogy. Mara Winkel is rock climbing, mountain biking, and 'studying' her way through school at the University of Colorado, Boulder. But when her best friend James asks her to partner with him to start a disruptive new software company she discovers that the world of technology startups is fraught with intrigue, adrenaline, soaring successes, and scorching failures. It turns out this is especially true when your technology threatens entrenched drug cartels. Mara has to juggle mysterious investors, opaque partners, critical customers, and a team that is as brilliant as it is dysfunctional until only one question remains: win or die. ----- "Insanely cool... a gripping roller coaster ride through the world of tech entrepreneurship. Tears you out of your seat and into a brand new genre, the startup thriller. Watch out, it will hijack your free time through to the last word. More, please?" -Brad Feld, Managing Director at Foundry Group, founder at Techstars "What Lara Croft was to archeologists; what James Bond was to spies; Mara Winkel is to startup founders. If you are a entrepreneur, investor, or fan of Shark Tank, this novel is for you." -Dr. Sean Wise, Professor of Entrepreneurship at Ryerson University, Director at Dobson Micro-Financing Seed Venture Fund "Electrifying, smart, and accesible. It's like Michael Crichton writing a story about Steve Jobs. This is the adventure for anyone who ever dreamed of starting something in their garage." -George Eiskamp, CEO at GroundMetrics Inc. ----- Website: www.eliotpeper.com Mailing List: http://www.eliotpeper.com/p/inner-circle.html Twitter: @eliotpeper Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/eliotpeper Medium: https://medium.com/@eliotpeper

"What the hell?" I took a step closer to the mirror, staring at my reflection in disbelief. The person looking back was still me, but at the same time it wasn't. I had the same thick, dark, curly hair. The same hazel eyes. The same olive skin with a light dusting of freckles (ugh) scattered across the bridge of my nose. But my curls were now streaked with highlights. And not the subtle, golden-brown ones that sometimes appeared during the summer. No, these were an aggressive, dazzling blond that went from the roots of my hair all the way to the tips. It looked like I had spent a full day getting my hair done in some upscale salon. Never mind that I had never set foot in such a place since the day I was born. My eyes appeared somehow wider and more luminous. The colour brighter, my eyelashes darker up against them. And, when I looked closely, my pupils seemed to be slitted almost like a cat. I looked down at my body. My skinny arms-which had always refused to gain any definition no matter how hard I exercised-were lined with flat, wiry muscles. My bony shoulders were now curved and smooth. My scrawny legs were toned like a dancer. I reached down and lifted my shirt, revealing two subtle lines running vertically down my perfectly flat stomach, hinting at the rock-hard abs underneath. My whole body was rippling with strength. Like liquid steel.
