Do you prefer your magic with one or two sugars? Or maybe with a nip of whisky? Days before their father's 70th Drunkening, brothers Artemis and Oleander Trevellian learn that the price of their usual gift -- two barrels of magic -- has skyrocketed, putting it well beyond their meager budget. Rather than find another present (what else do you get the pirate who has everything?), the two set off on a rollicking adventure across the whole of the Grunnic Isles to discover what's caused the shortage. Without their Da knowing about it, of course. From Sei'ne Heasley and 2017 Watty Award winner Leigh Heasley.

"A-Are you an alien?" One of the boys questioned tentatively. "Not that I know of." I cracked a small tentative smile. The boy who hadn't said anything, returned my smile with one of his own, then proceeded to turn to the others. "I don't know about you guys, but I sure as hell don't want her for an enemy." He laughed, approaching me with something that resembled excitement. "What do you say? Allies?" He stuck out his hand to me. I reached out my hand hesitantly. "Allies," I murmured while cautiously shaking his hand. -- Sunny Callaghan isn't like anyone else. Then again, being a test tube baby does that to you. When her 'parents' smuggled her out of the laboratory at the age of seven, they never planned for an alien invasion in their ten-year-plan. As Sunny races across the country to find her mom, she meets friends, foes, and just straight up bad people. Follow along on her journey to save Earth and the people she loves. Heads up: I've never tried writing a story like this, so here goes nothing.

Highest Ranking: #194 In TeenFiction [21-7-2018] Highest Ranking: #185 In Humor [21-7-2018] "I will ask you for the second time Jason, WHY THE HELL WERE YOU IGNORING ME?" I yelled at him, but he didn't even seem to be affected by my words. In fact, he was still facing the school. "Don't you dare walk away." I shouted after him. "I swear to God, if you take one more step Jason... " I threatened him and he stopped walking. "What the fuck do you want from me?" Jason seethed, pushing me against a wall. "I'm sure you know what I want." I hissed in anger. "I don't ask things I know about." Jason said with anger, reflexively. "Oh don't play sick games with me." I looked into his dark angry eyes "No game is healthy." He retorted. "Why were you ignoring me? Was it because of the kiss?" I asked through deep breaths. "You don't need a reason to ignore a person." "Do you like me?" I blurted out, making both Jason and I to freeze. I swear, I mentally cursed myself at that. "You're too delusional for you own good." "Then why the hell did you save me? Why the hell did you kissed me at the basement? Why did hell?" I swear, I was on the verge of tears. "That kiss? It meant nothing to me. And speaking of save, you save people you sympathize with. One more thing, I don't like you." Jason said in a very clear voice, walking out on me like I was a piece of trash.
