Tale about a curse, a seer, a dark stone... (Phase III Revision Done!) Part one and two up... one more coming. (Note: Using colloquial speech, and vulgar expressions to give it local flavor over the course of the story, so the accepted English is not correct but is based on untutored country dialect etc. Plus just a note: This is the second draft of three... I usually write a fast rendition first draft just to get the story down with the abstract elements and little if any details and characterization; then in the Second Draft - this one, I begin filling out the character and details, but forfend the full suspense and plot: foreground, background, and the motifs that keep the edge of horror before the reader; and, finally, in the Third Draft, which will come next after this segment is finished I let the story sit for a month, then go back and revise it blending the key elements of horror, suspense, and plot into the already qualified story line and characterization, which should finally give me the final draft and not quite finished product. The finished revision which might be called the Fourth Phase will be to tighten up the plot, suspense, dialogue, and description to the point of - at least, my sense of a finished performance. None of the stories I have on this site is at that Fourth Phase level yet, each are at different phases in the fourfold scheme of story writing that works for me. Hope you stay with me... )
