Hailee has lived with her aunt her whole life, because her parents have been in and out of jail. Though Hailee isn't the perfect angel her aunt thinks of her to be. After her aunt gets a job transfer to the south side of Chicago, Hailee meets the Gallaghers and starts spending most of her time with them, especially Carl Gallagher. Hailee starts to develop feelings, but with her aunt transferring jobs so often, she try's to hold back.

Lizzie is new in town, having to with her mother for the school year till summer comes. Having a complicated relationship towards her mother and learning what trust and care means by the Gallagher family. Making friends and having a platonic relationship with the mischievous delinquent Carl Gallagher. With a flashbacks from a horrible incident from her past follow her. Will it still haunt her till this day?
