I chose Tommy Pickles as my persona for my poems as a means to express without feeling the contraints of my actual character I show the world daily. When the curtains close and you walk off the stage from a wonderful performance, the real you comes out. The loneliness, the depressing feelings, the feeling of feeling unwanted overcomes you. That is when the real magic begins. Being able to express my thoughts and feelings through poems has been my escape and my coping mechanism. I hope my poems will motivate someone to open up about their true self and find a way to express their feelings through the God giving talents bestowed upon us.
