Lilly Linton, staunch suffragette, has just moved from stuffy, cold London, to the heart of adventure (and the Gold Rush): San Francisco, California. There, she finds a friend and kindred spirit in Captain James Carter, only to have her new friend go missing within a week. The last person he spoke to before his disappearance? The business magnate Rikkard Ambrose, famed along the coast for his sprawling business selling cattle hides, iron bars, and just about everything a miner needs to survive while they hack away in the mines and pan for gold in the rivers. Lilly enlists the reluctant help of Rikkard Ambrose to find her friend, but she doesn't intend on slaking any of her thirsts other than one for adventure... Even if he is chiselled, icy, and impossible to melt even in the hottest of California summers. HIATUS

Lambrose Cinderella AU: RIKKARD AMBROSE is the prince of Battlewood. His mother, the queen, wants him to marry and produce heirs, but all he wants to produce is profit. Starting with a company, for which he requires a secretary. However, none of the royal attendants will meet his high standards for employment, so now there will be a job interview - which is actually a ball, a fact that everyone knows except him... LILLY LINTON does not want to be a wife-she wants to get a job! But when her aunt hears of the gala for all young maidens of Battlewood to attend, all the Linton sisters are sent packing to go to the dance. When Lilly arrives, she manages to catch the prince's attention... but not as a marriage prospect, as his secretary.

These characters belong to RobTheir. Before reading this story, read his books, Storm and Silence, In the Eye of the Storm, and Silence is Golden, otherwise, the story won't make sense. This story takes place right after Lilly and Mr Ambrose come back from the jungle in book three. It tells the story about what would happen if Lilly had gotten pregnant, going back and forth between the present, and flashbacks about what happened to get them there. (Completed 10-01-17)

They no longer deny their attraction towards one another, instead, they embrace it and face the reality of their dangerous charade. No longer can they hide the facts any longer, after all, knowledge is power is time is money, right? However...Lilly's formidable opponent, her own aunt, is desperate to marry Lilly off...and this times, her aunt is determined to marry Lilly off, no matter what it takes. There's only one very problematic problem. None of Lilly's family knows about the secrets which lies within Mr Ambrose, and certainly no one has any idea of what their relationship really consists of... So...how will Lilly get out of her Aunt's grasp this time? Lillian Linton almost thought that her life so far couldn't be any better. Almost. And there was a single person behind her reasoning. Mr. Rikkard Ambrose, a powerful business mogul who happens to be Lillian's boss during the day and semi-lover at night. But in spite of his sexist demeanor and overbearing tendencies, Lillian has come to question if Mr. Ambrose is not the reason that her life isn't perfect, but the reason why she can call her life a 'life' at all. But her life is about to get a little more interesting, Mr. Ambrose or not, as an old family friend of her father's arrives at Lady Samantha's for the ball. And their relationship is about to get more complicated.

What if Lilly Linton and Mr. Ambrose never met that voting day? Does that mean their story would cease to exist?

Lilly's been ordered to clean and dust the secretary's office by, obviously, her employer, Mr Ambrose. Lilly is not happy with his orders. As always, Mr Ambrose couldn't care less about it. And as always, Lilly's going to make him care. Question is, what and how will she do it? ¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤ This story has been specially written for the 'A Storm of Fanfiction' writing contest. I had never actually planned on writing a Storm&Silence fanfic as I believed- and still do, I couldn't recreate the magic of Sir Rob's writing skills.
