Katsuki Bakugou was born and raised in The Outskirts, a slum city of thousands upon thousands of people living in poverty, abandoned and ignored by the royal family for decades. Hundreds are on the brink of starvation, and with winter closing in, the risk of hypothermia and death is higher than ever. Angered by the fact that as citizens the slum-dwellers aren't given what they rightfully deserve as human beings, Katsuki decides to take matters into his own hands and take what they should be given to begin with, and the only sure place that has plenty of what they need is the royal palace itself. In a world where everyone has a soulmate, Kirishima is convinced he doesn't. Still, he leaves notes and messages in the hopes they'll be returned. Bakugo, on the other hand, dismisses his soulmate. After all, if you want to become a hero, you can't have distractions like that. Yet when Bakugo and Kirishima are allocated rooms together, secrets are revealed and feelings are ripped wide, wide open.

Everyone has a soulmate. The only way to figure out who your soulmate is involves a certain type of currency that can only be earned by actively doing good deeds. The amount of points a person has can be seen above their head always. It only disappears once the soulmates have confronted the other. 17 year old Eijirou decided to finally spend his points after years of never truly trying to seek out his soulmate, but it comes with a great mental tole that he's not sure he can handle. Bakugou hadn't ever spent his points, and quite frankly, he didn't have very many in the first place considering that fact.
