"Light up my darkness," he murmured against her bare flesh. His fingers trailed up her arm, leaving a blazing fire beneath them. His lips pressed softly against her shoulder and her eyes fluttered closed, accepting his touch. "Let go and I'll take away all of the pain." She desperately wanted to free herself from the torture of the heat, of the shift, of the sadness, but she pushed his firm chest away from her. She yearned to finally fulfill her place among the divine. She desired to guide and protect the species. She wished to eliminate the Challengers. The longer she endured the pain, the more power she would attain to help her fulfill her responsibilities. To the men who watched her ascend, it looked as if she was interacting with thin air, but she knew he was there with her. She smiled softly at him, caressing his cheek. "My Darkness, let the pain fester within me. I crave it." * The Betrayal is a part of The Marking Trilogy and cannot be read as a stand-alone book. The Marking must be read first.* Cover by @Finding_Bria

A women Of Woodstock Short story. Charity Andrews lived up to her name a twenty year old student at Witney college studying accountancy, living with a group of friends in a basement flat in Woodstock, she worked two jobs to make ends meet, Sunday's in the Blenheim View tea shop and three nights a week in the Crown Public House as a bar maid. Her mother and father run a small guest house on Portland Bill in Dorset and she left to study in the small Oxfordshire town, so she could help out her families business. But above all Charity loved charities, so whenever an event to help others less fortunate, cropped up, Charity was ready to help out. A car boot sale to help the homeless. A stall at a village fete to help the elderly. A sponsored walk to raise money for the children's hospital wing at the John Radcliffe. Charity was there. Highest Rankings: #1 in Featured #1 in Werewolf #1 in Dragon #1 in Fantasy #1 in Adventure #1 in Action #1 in Series #23 in Romance "Lyzaria! What did I tell you about the forest?" My father scolds me sharply. I flinch at the anger in his voice and quickly retract my hand, inches from the trunk of the tree. "Sorry father, I couldn't help it. The trees are just so beautiful," I whine turning towards him. His face softens slightly and he scoops me up into his muscled arms. I wrap my small arms around his neck and bury my face into his shoulder. He hugs me tightly and carries me away from the forest. "Why can't we go into the forest?" I ask, looking over his shoulder to see the red and gold leaves slowly disappear from view as we climb the hill. "The forest is a dangerous place," he sighs. "How can something so beautiful be so dangerous?" I mutter in confusion. "The danger is in its beauty." **Cover by SodaliteSilver**

(THIS WORK IS COMPLETELY UNEDITED, I WOULD SUGGEST READING THE GREED OF WOLVES INSTEAD UNTIL THIS BOOK HAS BEEN COMPLETELY READ OVER) One of his hands skims down my arm, while the other holds me in place. Keeping me close. While he does this, his now darkened eyes never leave mine, they hold me captive just as much as his arm does. I feel incredibly weak. Self-hatred curls itself around me. I can't even imagine what my mother would think of me right now. In the arms of the man who killed her. He stops his touches, noticing the change, his eyes narrow slightly, his wolf still in control. "Let go of me," I say. My voice sounds frail even to my own ears. ______ Lillian's life get's flipped upside down when she meets her soulmate. The alpha of alphas. The king of kings. Not only is she human but she despises everything her mate stands for. Known for his ruthlessness and violence to be mated to him is thought to be a curse. She has to admit though, Queen Lillian first of her name, doesn't sound too bad.

Growing up we're taught subconsiously certain things don't always go together. Night and Day, Dark and Light, black and white. Things that stood out just didn't belong with things that fit in. Things that were normal didn't need to be corrupted by things outside of the norm. If you looked different, you were shunned. If you acted different, you were ignored. If you talked different, well that was enough cause to disassociate you from the group entirely. But people fail to realize without one you can't have the other. They coexist with each other, never mixing, but existing. That's how my life was. Just to be. Exist. Never mix. Never mingle. But all that changed. The day he showed up in my life. I should have run. I should have listened to the warnings in my head, but the fact that he was...different, made me stay. He stood out.. Like a sore thumb. He was completely different than what I was used to. He was danger, and mystery wrapped up in a package. He wasn't one of those men born with a silver spoon in his mouth and his own pedigree. He was the exact opossite. He was a misfit. And I loved him for it.

She hoped he couldn't see the fear swirling deep within her. She didn't want to let him see her fear. She had to be strong. Then her fear was replaced with anger. Why would she be afraid of his reaction? Of him? She didn't do anything wrong in the first place. She was on the run, and if someone captures you, you try to escape. Rule number one. If someone should have the right to be angered, it should be her. She squinted her eyes and shot daggers to his. At her glare his smirk disappeared. With three big steps he was right in front of her, grabbing her throat and pushing her up against the tree behind her. She didn't see it coming and she couldn't breathe for a moment. Her hands grasped his forearm in panic, causing the chains to clatter loudly, but he already lessened his grip on her throat so she could take some air. Her heart was beating way faster then normal, but at least it was a sign she was still alive. His grip was more rough than painful, but she was not mistaken. He could snap her neck in a second if he'd want to. He must have had another plan for her, cause he didn't. Her eyes snapped back to his when he brought his head closer. "Listen to me, little one." His voice was surprisingly soft, yet demanding her attention. "You are mine now. Never, ever run away from me again, or you will pay the price." Highest ranking #15 in dominance.
