A somewhat normal college student decides to stay in a house with six other students: Leon the dramatic pretty boy. Minnie the extreme couponing Philosophy major. Kayla the fashion diva who drinks way too much Starbucks. Ricardo the mature Psychology major. JC the dancing maniac with too cute dimples. Then finally Chance the paranoid and quiet Geology nerd with a heavily medicated turtle that is the devil reincarnated named Larry. And throw in a couple of crazy cousins, an ex who wants revenge, a protective older brother, a couple of killers, and you got yourself a craaaazy first year of College! Warning! This story contains a ton of colorful/naughty words, heated content, a crazy ass turtle, annnd a whole lot of random shit related to fandoms! Oh, and this isn't editted! Writers have to get their characters from somewhere. Sometimes it's just not as simple as making them up.

Sixteen-year-old Opal might be everything you hate in a person. She's snobby, conceited, and has more popularity than she knows what to do with in her sunny and densely populated Florida city. In contrast, Jack, nicknamed "Alaska" by Opal in regards to the quiet Alaskan town where he resides, is sweet, caring, and compassionate. The two are complete opposites in almost every way. When Opal is whisked away to some unheard of town in Alaska to spend spring break with her older brother and brand new and annoying stepsister, she is not happy. After all, spring break is a time to tan and lay by the pool, not freeze in the snow as you only get paler. But things get even more complicated when an accident leaves Opal and Jack lost in the middle of nowhere with nothing more than a survival backpack and each other. Though the two were brought together by chance and they disagree on practically everything, they now must rely on each other if they want to get back in one piece. With constant battles being thrown their way that seem nearly impossible to overcome, confessions that are bound to be unleashed, and the blossoming promise of second chances, there is no telling what lies ahead for these two. They only have one mission: find their way back to civilization in time before it's too late.

Kylie is nineteen years old. Kylie doesn't know how to drive. What Kylie is very good at is running away. Ben is nineteen years old. Ben loves to drive. Ben wants to run away. Ben and Kylie were friends - a long time ago, before she ran away. Ben is going to teach Kylie to drive, if she teaches him how to run away. Or, in this case, drive away.

Words are the dim shadows of the forgotten ones, the ones left behind - they are the smiles of the saddened, and the frowns of the kind.

She’s also uncontrollably fierce and overly ambitious which tends to be a bad combination. When she unexpectedly fails an audition due to her inability to express love, she’s forced to reconsider something she swore she would never do when she was a kid – fall in love. But where is a seventeen year old supposed to find a guy to fall in love with? Turns out, it might be a lot simpler than she thought.
