Cover art by me. We all have our own demons that we must battle. And some are harder to defeat than other. Stay who you are and stay proud 'cause no one can take you down. In this one-shot, we witness a man against his most feared demon and his battle against keeping his pride or becoming lost in darkness.

This fanfic is based on what i believe the events previous to the fan-made battle "Disbelief" were. There are a lot of my own head canons in this as well as major character death. It was a beautiful day in the forest of Snowdin. No one could foresee what was going to exit the ruins that fine day. Merrily heading off to check on his lazybones brother, Papyrus was one of the first to find out. And what he found in the snow, right before his expertly crafted fence, was something he truly didn't want to believe.

This will be a relatively short fanfic. I was going to make it a one off, but I realized that part way through it was at the 4000 word mark, and decided it would be wiser to chop it up. And the characters you see in this are a little different then my normal head cannons, but either way, I hope you enjoy this short story. Summary: With a prank gone wrong, eyes have opened, and memories of the past have set in. Forgive or to not is a hard choice when people you've learned to love have done the unforgivable.
