The night of the War, he should've died alongside her. But Gerard didn't, and because he survived, he was outcasted by the Ordinem, viewed as a freak. He hated himself and wanted nothing more than to die and join her. But the only way a Vampire can die is at the hands of a Slayer and Slayers haven't stepped foot in California since the War. One fateful day, Gerard bumps into a girl by the name of Nyxia Lacey. He instantly knows there's something different about her, and after a little snooping, he discovers that Nyxia is a Slayer. But here's the thing, there's no such thing as female Slayers, and her last name suggests that she a descendant of one of the most infamous and ruthless Slayer families in American history, a family that was killed off decades ago. Nyxia doesn't know that she's a Slayer, and she has no knowledge that she's a walking impossibility. Despite what all other Vampires would've done, which is kill her on sight, Gerard goes against unspoken and ancient laws and takes her under his wing, vowing to protect her from the Ordinem, making a promise that most wouldn't dare to make. After all, she's the only one who can help him get what he's desired since that horrible night. Gerard has no idea that Nyxia will change his and his friends' lives in ways no one could have fathomed. And Nyxia has no idea what she is meant to be in this new and dangerous world that she's been dragged into. But as the two begin to fall for each other, which should be impossible, they dig themselves deeper into a grave that may be impossible to escape. Two walking impossibilities, a forbidden love. I wrote this a long time ago, when I was 14/15, a time when self harm was something that seemed to just be everywhere in my life. I apologise to anyone who read this before I put this notice here, but I'm pretty sure in every chapter there is some sort of mention of mental illness/self harm. I know I could just take the story down, but it was one of the first ever stories I wrote that I liked and completed, and although I admit now it's not great, it shows progress. And progress is everything. Baby steps. Sorry again. This is an official TRIGGER WARNING. Emma is depressed. She's just been dumped and is being bullied. Can Jack save her or will she break his heart? Eleanor is shy and quiet, she never does anything careless or free. She's always going from home, to school, back home again. Her parents work most of the time, and she hasn't tried at all to make friends during highschool.
