Reece Bremer goes through life with a scowl and cold personality. Jessica Andrews goes through life with a glowing smile and positive outlook. Reece looks at life with dull, judgmental eyes that make him hate the world and the people living in it. Jessica, well... She looks at life through a camera. Literally. They're polar opposites, and that's what sparks Reece's immediate hate for Jessica the moment they meet. All he sees is a girl with the best life, put in the category of those who get everything handed to them on a silver platter. But who says Jessica's life is like that? Just like a photograph, there's more to the story than what you see. Stumbling across one of Jessica's hidden portfolio might reveal that her happiness isn't all that true. Behind that smile and each picture she takes, holds a thousand words of a very big secret - one that Reece is determined to find out. And who knows? It just might change everything between them. cover by dysanic || 2015 watty's winner for talk of the town ||

[Completed] Elysia's life is turned upside-down when she's abducted by supernatural creatures with demonic eyes and threatening fangs. What's worse is she has no idea what it is they want from her, except that it has something to do with a side of her that she's never known. The chances of Elysia getting out alive are slim, but perhaps with a bit of luck and a lot of bravery she can escape with more than just her life. Excerpt: ''What trick is this?'' The creature asked, but it didn't sound like a vicious question. He sounded... confused. When I didn't answer, he appeared in front of me, snatching my face in his hand once more and growling. ''What is that on your back?'' ''I don't know,'' I blindly answered, but corrected myself quickly when his grip tightened dangerously, ''It's a birth mark, the doctors called it a... a Lichtenberg figure. My mother said I was born with it, I swear it, even though it's usually what happens when you survive being struck-'' ''-by lightning.'' It was as if everything were in slow motion. Tiny shards of the mirror flew across the room and scattered all over the previously white tiles. Thousands of the slivers cling-clanged in Alice’s ears, making her bloody fists slap against them to block out the startling noises. Red dripped down her hands. It stained the floor and any parts of the mirror that were in the way. She couldn’t feel the pain. She had become used to pain throughout her stay in this cell. This ugly white cell. It was too pure, too clean, for all of the hideous, nauseating occurrences that happened in this room. Alice was sick of it and was happy that the dark blood blemished its purity. “Alice.” It was that voice again. The deep, belly churning, angelic voice. She loved that voice, but she knew it wasn’t real. Angels weren’t real. “No,” she said aloud. “I’m just going crazy.” “No, you aren’t. Look up Alice.” As the door to her cell banged open, shouting came about and hands began to grab at her, but she didn’t care. Through the hole that she had punched in that dreadful mirror, she could see green eyes. Beautiful green eyes. And dirty blonde curls. An angular face. It was an angel. It was her angel.
