Wonderland. A world that everyone has grown to love. In this world of laughter and imagination everything was centered around one girl. Alice. Wonderland was a world of her imagination. A world that she created. Her first trip to Wonderland was merely to find herself, her courage. After that first adventure she returned to this magical land to help find answers to her various problems. Alice's imaginary friends were always there waiting for her with open arms to help, no matter how severe or simple the problem. Alice was only thirteen when tragedy struck. Alice's family died a horrible death in front of their young, naive daughters eyes. In order to deal with the grief of loosing her family Alice delved back into her imaginary world. Upon first arrival she noticed slight changes to the world. The once ever present sun was blocked behind ominous dark clouds. The bright colors of the world were somehow muted and dull. Even her childhood friends seemed to be wallowing in their own despair and self pity. Unable to find the answers she so desperately needed she fled from her own world, her imagination. Was the sadness and fear that she felt strong enough to infect the inhabitants of wonderland? Despair and fear brought about by her families death. The guilt of what her own emotions had done to her beloved friends. What was she to do? What could she do? What if wonderland was like this forever. What if she was like this forever? It was to much for a young girl to handle. To much at one time. The frail girls psyche snapped. The next few years were nothing but a blurr. A mental asylum. To many doctors and psychiatrists to count. Her routine was almost mind numbing. The only bit of randomness the girl now had was in her dreams. Dark distorted images of her once happy friends flashing before her eyes, beckoning her back to Wonderland. A world no longer of magic and happiness, but of death, decay, and insanity. Each of her friends seemed to have come across a tragedy of their o

((FULL VERSION AVAILABLE ON KINDLE, 9/9/14!)) Jack and Jill went up the hill to fetch a pail of water. Jack's a preacher's handsome son and Jill's a drunkard's daughter... Jill is a melancholy girl, strange to most; cursed to others. Her home is an isolated village where old superstitions are the key to normality. She is shunned by the townspeople because she is different–because she was born with an unusual birthmark. No one will associate with Jill outside her family, and even they treat her as something that ought to be condemned. And then there is Jack. Jack is the blessed sort–the son of Minister Hilton. He accompanies Jill to the well every day to draw water for the sanctuary. They are not friends, yet he is the only one who has ever been kind to her. There is something about Jack that Jill cannot seem to wrap her mind around. He is different from the rest of them but she can’t say how. She tries to keep herself from wondering about him, telling herself that his secrets can’t matter to her. They can never be close. But as time passes and the town grows more hostile toward her, any kind of friend– even an unacknowledged one–could prove valuable.
