In the kingdom of Vanderdash, there is no more feared warriors than that of the Scarlet Guard. Protectors of the royal family, skilled assassins trained since childhood, They follow the crown, they enforce the crown. To many, the group cloaked in red is a greater symbol of the royal family's power than the kings crown itself. Citizens respect and fear the scarlet guard, the power they hold. But within the guard there is only one who installed that very same feeling into the rest. Head of the prince's royal guard, ruthless and cunning, rarely seen by the citizens themselves. They call her Red. An expert in poisons and deception, the small girl has brought armies to their knees without once lifting a blade. A vermillion haired monster hidden behind the face of a doll. ~~ I smiled up at the men, "Would you like a cookie?" They peered into the basket I held out, spotting the heart shaped treats. "They're cinnamon with apple Jam. I do promise they are to die for." The taller mans eyes narrowed, "did you give the poor fool dead on the road a cookie?" My lips parted, "a dead man? Oh my..do you think it is safe?" "..depends on who you are miss, why did you say you were in the woods again?" I smiled gently, "I didn't." He rose a brow. "I'm delivering these," I shook the basket a bit, "to my dearest grandmama." He hesitated for only a slight second, "oh. well. be careful then. These woods can be dangerous." I nodded once still holding out the basket, "so would you?" "Would we what?" I giggle a bit, "like a cookie silly." "Ah.." he scratched the back of his head, "sorry, I'm not too fond of apples." Damn it. I sighed softly, "strawberry next time then." "Right..." As I turned to go I looked up at the two tall men, "you be careful now too gentleman. There are wolves in these woods." They nodded rigidly as I spun and began to skip off, giggling to myself. He asked the wrong question. I didn't give the dead fool a cookie. I gave him two.

[Completed] Every Wolf Moon, humans are selected from each village to be sacrificed to the werewolves; creatures worshipped by humans as godlike figures. In a twist of fate, seventeen year old Mila Young is selected to be the annual sacrifice for the Trinity pack, the most powerful pack ruled by King Alpha Roman Stone. Alpha Roman and all werewolves under his rule are cursed. His hatred for the humans and his war on the deity Moon Goddesses has caused his kind to lose the favor of their blessings. However, when Mila reveals herself to have a connection to the werewolves unlike anything a human has ever had before, it becomes apparent that she may be the key to ending the suffering of Roman and his wolves... if only he can overcome the lifelong hatred that clouds his mind and darkens his heart. Excerpt: "You smell like wolf," The King Alpha declared, his voice low and angry. "I killed one," I both explained the smell and threatened at the same time. "And you think you can kill me? You think you can take my pack?" I glanced around at all the lycans still in their wolf forms, bowing obediently towards me. Could I take all of them on? I doubted it. I didn't even think I'd get this far. I didn't even know what was going on. When I turned back to the King Alpha, he was significantly closer. "Stay back!" I cried out in fear. The power flared within me once more, lifting whimpers from around me. The King Alpha hesitated again, his eyes skating over me with confusion. He took a deep breath, sniffing the air around me as he hadn't yet gotten any closer. "You smell like... my mate." {{Warning: Some scenes may be unsuitable for audiences below the age of 15 and offensive to those of all ages. Read at your own risk.}} Rankings: #1 in Lycans #1 in wolf

The creamy white of her alabaster skin, as if she is illuminated from the inside. Gold freckles scattered in all the right places and positively beg you to trace them lightly with my fingertips like a sensual connect-the-dot. Her lips so luscious that were colored a natural rose, savoring it slowly and still I will never get enough of it. Her hair, the brightest shade of red and large, round violet eyes, pretty but emotionless eyes, like those of a wax doll. "Mine. Always." I can feel him running his nose down my throat, inhaling my scent. He reassured himself that I am in his arm. But the truth is. I could never be his. "No" I whisper fighting to release a moan. "Why?" I looked into his eyes, fighting the tears to spill in my eyes as I said to him. "An Alpha, like you can't have a mate with a Witch like me" Unwelcome. Unwanted. Different. That's how Crimson felt in her old pack. Nightmare it's what she calls it. With her family, they move into a new town, isolated from the new pack. New town. New life. New school. But what she didn't expect is to meet a particular green eyed-boy, who claims to be her mate. __________________________________________________________ Copyright © 2013, April. by xAliceHatterx
