Part one of the Pokémon: Light the Fire series starts off with our heroes split up in separate areas. Behind the scenes, something more sinister than any of them are ready for is happening, and only a few are realizing it.

Not long after Sis's rescue, things have calmed down for Flare and the others. However, things are only getting worse in the Hall of Origin.

The rage of Arceus continues to grow stronger and harder to control. According to a prophecy that came from the strange dimension called the Gateway, Flare is the one destined to kill Arceus and put a stop to his rage... or die trying. Teamwork becomes more essential than ever, but secrets from the past come back to haunt one of Flare's friends and brings him to the verge of breakdown.

As the battle between Flare and Arceus draws near, the group trains and toughens up while Cam and Crystal head off to find a new Admin, with no idea as to where to start looking. Flare learns from Darkrai and Alastar everything he needs to know before the upcoming collision.
