Sock has been bugging our favorite fake blonde for months now, who hasn't lifted a finger to "punch his own ticket". Eventually giving up, the two grow closer as time passes. The only problem is, Sock still has a job and being in love with one of his human counterparts isn't making this job any easier. Will he be able to prove himself to his boss and cherish his newfound love?

I'm warning, I wrote this when I was 16 with no experience with reading or writing so it lacks quite a bit lol. I think I took the idea of one shots a little too seriously. I'm currently going over and editing bits, it may take a while as I'm so cringed out. I also may delete one shots I feel are...crap lol. Jonathan Combs has always been a peculiar kid. Never did he talk about his family or even really mention them. What exactly is he hiding behind that typical broken boy look? (Look, guys I haven't truly been apart of this fandom since like 2015. Yes I am going to finish it, but it's gonna take a minute. Sock is abandoned by his parents and then his childhood friend, Joane, betrays him by telling her mom who then calls social services. So Mephistopheles, a social worker, takes him under his wing, so to speak, and finds him a foster home where he meets Jonathan Combs. Jonathan has been in the foster care system almost all of his life and has become jaded and apathetic compared to Sock's bubbly personality. When these two teens meet they form a bond but will they find solace in each other where they couldn't find with their parents?
