[ highest ranking: #43 Action ] Sara Williams, Hana Minami, Alicia Denver, Nikki Connor and Erin West – can you guess their acronym? – are not as girly and gentle as their names give away. They are the Maroon Jackets. They are the equivalent of the FBI and your average pretty girls combined. Result? When you fall for them and their tricks, you fall hard. But this time… there's a little twist in the case. The Jackets are supposed to track down Shane Walker, who they suspect is behind a recent murder. But with the lack of good leads, evidence and information (and willpower), something's clearly up. Is the government database actually flawed? Nevertheless, they're onto something. And the twist: they might actually be… falling in love. With their suspects. And in the spy world, there's a saying: "Never have something you can't let go off, never live someplace you can't leave behind, and never. ever. use someone you can't keep." This time, they may just be breaking that rule.

Sixteen-year-old Pippa Greene never goes anywhere without her camera. She and her best friend/supermodel-in-training Dace long ago mapped out their life plan: Pippa will be the noted fashion photographer, and Dace the cover girl. But ever since last spring, things have changed for Pippa — and her junior year at Spalding High proves to have its own set of challenges. Not only is Vantage Point, the statewide photography competition, in three short weeks, but her mandatory volunteer placement lands her at St. Christopher’s Hospital, a place Pippa never wanted to set foot in again. With humour and pluck, she navigates her new role as a candy striper (watch out for Code Yellows), her changing relationship with her best friend (goodbye Honesty Pact), and — perhaps most stressful of all — her new love interests (yes, love interests plural). Will Pippa make it to Vantage Point without having a panic attack? Will either one of the guys prove less sketchy than her last boyfriend? Can she and Dace figure out a way to dream big and be best friends? One thing is certain: real life is a lot more complicated than a photograph. New chapter updates every Wednesday!

If you want to be a doctor, you go away and learn about how the human body functions. If you want to be an architect, you learn about the laws of physics, different sorts of materials, and how to design. If you want to be an author, you should know how to manipulate language properly – correct grammar, correct usage of vocabulary, correct spelling and correct punctuation. It’s only fair to your readers. Unclear grammar makes for an unclear read. Incorrect vocabulary means you can’t put across what you want to say. Bad spelling might mean that you say something unintentionally embarrassing. And punctuation in the wrong place… well. You get the idea. How Not to Assassinate the English Language goes right back to basics, and it will hopefully help anybody who's confused about any aspect of grammar to sort out whatever it is that's causing the confusion.

After the accident, nothing seemed right. I walked around like a mindless zombie, having the occasional breakdown that involved me rocking back and forth in the fetal position while muttering about imaginary men in spandex suits and lollipops. I shouldn’t have been too surprised when my grandparents shipped me off to spend the summer with my shrink stepmother in the no-name Texan beach town she lives in. Now, I’m stuck in a town full of crazies. It’s as if Noah’s ark of rejects made a home here, and now most of them are flocking to me. When did I turn into a beacon for insane people? All I want to do is get through this summer without fully cracking and getting a full ride trip to the funny farm. Is that too much to ask? Although, it might be what I deserve after what I did. Karma seems to have it out for me. Or maybe Old Man Wallace—or whatever his name is today—is right, and the androids really are out to get us all. This was supposed to be the perfect escape—a way to get away from everything back home. It’s starting to look like I’m in a summer chick flick gone way, way wrong.
