Moving to a new town is scary enough, but moving to a town full of secrets is even more terrifying. My family out of the entire school year decided to move the day before a girl named Hannah Baker committed suicide. My first day I saw her but didn't get a chance to talk to her, like I never would. I started hanging out with this guy Clay and we became close. When he starts acting sketchy I forced him to let me hear the tapes. But people have been watching us and their not to happy that Clay and I are so close. Once they figure out I heard the tapes, things seemed to have gone down hill.

Kinsley believes she's beginning her junior year off with a good start: another year with her boyfriend Zach Dempsey, meeting new friends while sticking with the old ones. If only she wasn't so wrong. If Hannah Baker dying wasn't bad enough as it is, her leaving 13 tapes to her murderers is surely icing on the cake.
