Paris finds a note written for her mother about how she is going to be killed. Then, her mom goes missing. Paris's older brother takes over as her guardian but that next day Paris meets her mother's killers son Javier. At first she ignores him despite the fact that they are partners in a language arts class but not too long after that Paris can't ignore him any longer as she feels an attraction to him. After they become friends, Javier's father who killed Paris's mother doesn't want him to be around Paris.
