Book 1 In The Children Of Laquania Series Years Before Christ, our world isn't what it was made out to be. The God we thought was our ultimate creator is merely a scientist who's invention of the 'Human' is dubbed an accident. Genesis Adam and Eve are born into an earth that wasn't fit for beings like them. Earth is inhabited by a race of giants who call themselves the Laquanians. Dinosaurs replace dogs, and the animals we consider normal today would come into existence many centuries later. Humans aren't meant to be a part of this world, and are quickly moved to the bottom of the hierarchy, destined to be bred as pets for the dominant Laquanian race. Colton was born in a breeding facility, only to be whisked away into the Pet Institute where he'd spend the next fourteen years of his life. Life as a human in a world of giants is tough, and when he's sent to a local pet shop for adoption, Colton doesn't expect a loving, caring owner. Axel was a pet once, but after escaping at a young age with the help of The Human Resistance, he's quick to find his place in the world. But haunted with the pain and regret of his past, he's clouded with memories that never fail to leave him. And when he comes across the famous Genesis Adam while searching the laboratory of Godpheus Mathews for new recruits, his problems are only doubled. But there's something deeper lurking beneath everything. Poison that threatens to destroy the Laquanian race surfaces, and the giants have no choice but to act before they're wiped out. Godpheus Mathews has tampered with the very building blocks of life, and a force greater than anything ever encountered is after him. Can the human race assume its rightful place as earth's sole inhabitants? Or will the advantage of size and power destroy them all?

Dragons, wizards, zombies, and vampires, oh my! The concepts behind Population Miniscule are a little less traveled. Sure, this story has the usual dysfunction, as well as sufficient drama, but there's a twist. Kendon and Catherine. They are a match made in heaven, and that's where the cliche ends. Their dysfunction is average, uneventful even. It's not obvious right away that two worlds have collided...in more ways than one. Catherine is your average high school English teacher, and Kendon just your basic Historian. They live together, but have separate lives. It was over before it began. A simple tale of racial and spatial challenges married with the wonder of childhood fantasy. This story with an uncommon twist will keep you reading. A simple tale appropriate for preteens and up of any background. Population Miniscule is a story that doesn't end. It continues on through the imagination. It lives in the whispers of an empty house, feeling eyes when there are none, seeing glimpses to turn and find nothing. That is where the Miniscule live. I am initially publishing a chunk to get you started, then it will be 1 New Chapter weekly. Enjoy!

HE WANTED TO ESCAPE HIS PROBLEMS. HE WANTED TO SEE THE FUTURE. HE NEVER CONSIDERED WHAT THE FUTURE WANTED. Confronted with suffering a painful death from cancer, Dan Sturges, a retired Ford’s engineer, foregoes treatments to try an idea of his own. After reading a theoretical article in Scientific American on time displacement, Dan builds a time machine in his garage. With nothing to lose but a few months of pain, Dan pins his hopes on a future where cancer might have been cured, or at least a quicker death by electrocution. How could he have known that what happens after he presses the button is more shocking than the eighteen car batteries he connected himself to? Greener Grass is a science fiction short story of 5,600 words by Michael J. Sullivan, author of the fantasy books of The Riyria Revelations and the Riyria Chronicles. This short story was the seed that grew into his full-length novel, Hollow World published in April 2014 by Tachyon Publishing. While the ideas are similar, the two worlds depicted are quite different. In Greener Grass, the world was created to provide a "twilight zone" twist. In Hollow World, the future provides an environment that may be utopian or dystopic depending on the readers perceptions.
