Hadley Jamison doesn't know what to think when she hears that her classmate, Archer Morales, committed suicide. She didn't exactly know him, but that doesn't stop her from feeling like there was something she could have done to help him. So to Hadley's surprise, on the very night of Archer's funeral, she has a run in with Death himself and is offered the chance to go back in time to stop Archer from ending his life. The catch? She only has twenty-seven days to do it. And if Hadley doesn't succeed? Well, she doesn't want to think about that.

Dear Iris, We want you back! We have remained patient for 17 years, not only because of the unending preparations but also because you are as naïve and callow as a five-year-old and for that, we decided we should wait. Furthermore, we have endured a long wait of 445 years for your birth...But we shall wait no more. Come to us. We will give you power, we will give you strength, we will restore to you, your fullest abilities and you shall reach the zenith of your potential, we shall give you what no one in the real world has ever thought of dreaming of. Come to us, but before that, trust no one and steer clear of anyone who might try to convince you to back away from this huge opportunity, remember, jealousy has taken hold of every bitter corner of their dark minds. Now, enough with the formalities, clean talk, and proposals. This is no persuasive letter or 'thing' for you to decide. It's a command that you must follow, if not we shall cast upon you our dark power, and your life will become a heavy burden, one you might not be able to carry, because your back might be too broken, tormented and tortured, for you to put it there, cause we shall reap it flesh by flesh until your invertebrate disc reveals itself, and your heavy burdened life might not be able to rest on your weak head also, for we shall crush it until your skull begins to resemble that of the Grim Reaper's then we will take it and feed it to the famished dogs specially assigned to you. Your blood shall drip, and it will be the only thing that shall pass your thirsty throat. Death will be a luxury far beyond your reach. Remember, this in no persuasion. It's a threat. Yours Sinisterly, X. AishahH
