This is about a girl named Nicole and Oak from Hamilton. They both went to West Orange High School together and graduated the same year but they went to different colleges and they lost touch. Maddie was a orphan, she had a foster home that was alright enough to let her go to school. She definitely had a back story, her mother died of cancer, it left her dad depressed, he killed himself, and it was just her.
