She's a successful publicist and has a family she loves. They definitely don't need anything or anyone else... or that's what they thought until the moment they met.

In a world where some people have superpowers and are either superheroes or super villains, Laura Hollis applies to be Carmilla Karnstein's minion in order to find out what happened to her friend Betty. When Carmilla seems less evil than Laura was anticipating, Laura begins a quest to show the other girl that she doesn't have to accept the role she's been thrown into.

Carmilla has been Laura's best friend since pre-k and she's always there whenever Danny and her have fights which is pretty often because Danny always chooses Clea's side over Laura's. Clea is Danny's 6 year old daughter that she had with her previous boyfriend, Wilson Kirsch. The night Danny proposes however, Carmilla gets a little jealous and has no idea why.
