"Why do you always want to fix people? Some of us can't be fixed", the angry voice snapped at me, but I could hear the desperation clear in his voice. "I fix people because it distracts me of how fucking broken I am myself!", I blurted out without thinking and realized that I've never admitted that to myself before. "𝐖𝐞'𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐫𝗼𝐤𝐞𝐧, 𝐀𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐞", the tattooed boy replied and slowly pulled out a pack of cigarettes from the back pocket of his skinny jeans. "𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞'𝐬 𝐚 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝗺 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝗼𝗼", he added only a few seconds later and his piercing green eyes never left mine as he lit the cigarette between his pink lips. I watched in awe as he blew out the smoke and the air filled with the now familiar scent. I couldn't help but wonder if what he just said was true. Maybe he was right and we were all broken in our own, unique and fucked-up way. // Alice's dark past caught up with her as she got kidnapped one day.
