Lilly enlists the reluctant help of Rikkard Ambrose to find her friend, but she doesn't intend on slaking any of her thirsts other than one for adventure... Even if he is chiselled, icy, and impossible to melt even in the hottest of California summers. HIATUS

The tips of my fingers made a light contact with her cheek and my hand stroked the soft, sweet skin there as my eyes searched the depths of her soul. 'Never.' I whispered in a low voice. My eyes didn't leave hers. . Far away from prying eyes of London as the stony head employer Mr Ambrose and his secretary Lilly Linton set on a ship, what happens when Lilly challenges him to get deliriously drunk? Will the alcohol melt the stone cold facade of the ice berg that is Rikkard Ambrose or there would be much more to him than what meets the eye?

The night was dangerous. The roaring thunder, piercing lightning, stormy wind and excessive rainfall did nothing but made the night all the more dangerous. But I wasn't scared of the night, I was scared of the thing that engulfed me right now. No, no, not the darkness but those two familiar arms holding me firmly. I was scared of the feeling they evoked into me. Scared of the butterflies fluttering inside my stomach. Scared of the goosebumps invading my body. Of the heart beating louder than it should be. And somehow they made me feel the feeling I shouldn't feel in the presence of a man, more importantly because of the presence of a man, this man ,his presence comforted me. He made me feel comforted. He made me feel sound and safe. Damn him!

Highest rank: #46 in Fan fiction. When she came in my life, I had realised that I was still young, my own self felt so boring and dull in front of her bright and bubbly spirit. Whatever I found annoying in others, I found myself loving the same in her. She was so different, even from me, yet it felt so perfect. She was like a breath of life and warmth in my life. Something, I realised, I yearned for all those years. Her bravery and stubbornness, her will to do something, attracted me the most. All so suddenly I felt myself falling, falling in love with her. All this time, I denied it, kept pushing her away. I didn't realise that I pushed her so far from me, that she would never come back. It felt like all the life was sucked out of me, all the warmth leaving my body, all the meaning taken away from my life, all the love taken away from my heart. Did I do something wrong? I wanted to curl myself in a small ball and hide in a corner, forgetting everything. What would get out of all the money? I could kill that Dalgliesh and happily face the hangman's noose. What did I have to live for anymore? All the money felt worthless now. 'Karim, she... she left me, Karim, she left me...'
