Gerard had an abusive daddy so he ran away. In his attempt to escape, he met a man named Frank Iero who decided to temporarily take him in. The plan was to keep Gerard until he could take care of himself, and then put him in an orphanage. But Frank and Gerard's relationship grew until Frank couldn't bear to let Gerard go so easily. Even when things got better between them, Gerard's abusive daddy was still looking for him, and once he was found, he wasn't going to give up easy.

Gray. That's all Gerard saw. He hated the gray. All he wants is to see the colors his grandmother and grandfather taught him and his brother as they grew up. He knows everything about them, he just needs to see them. But what happens when he finally sees them?

Most of this was written in 2016. It is now 10 years later, and I no longer enjoy writing ddlb. I still love writing smut and will publish it every once in a while. Anything after the chapter titled "Mikey's ways" is more recent work and will have MUCH better literacy, better smut, and NO ddlb. These will get pretty kinky. Desperate attempts at keeping my favourite band and fandom alive with cringy one-shots of my favourite two people coming together and loving each other fictionally. It's for mine and many others' small desires to see band members become more than that entirely. Imagining them doing real, human things. Such as experiencing sadness, grief, anger, resentment, fucked up environments, sex, crying. Etc etc.
