Luke Crosby love hockey. He doesn't love the fact that everyone thinks that because his last name is Crosby that he must be related to Sidney Crosby, which he isn't. He also doesn't love the fact that he is now his seventh school in three years because of his Mom's job. Brynn Washington might not know Luke before he joins the school but she knows his type. The hockey player who doesn't care who he hurts and worries only about himself. She isn't nice to him because she doesn't think that he deserves it. There is more to Luke than Brynn gives him credit for but he is just trying to fit in with his new hockey teammates, especially with a captain that feels threaten by him and a Coach that doesn't really like him but he still finds time to try and prove her wrong.
