Zero is trying to come to terms with what he is, and that in the end, there is nothing that he, nor anyone else, can do to change it. If he's going to accept what he has become, he definitely can't do it alone, and the proud Hunter wouldn't go asking for help; but when a certain pureblood starts to take control, Zero is powerless to stop him in the end.
