Suppose you ignore the fact that he is the only Asian-looking one in his American family, is often bored, and the only one who sees these strange shimmering mists around other people. In that case, Xiao Zhan is a completely normal boy. Wei Wuxian gets a chance to restart his life, the only issue is that his new life has him dropped off at his grandmothers because he for some reason didn't have his ability to cultivate a golden core. After giving him a solution by granting him immortality, Wuxian lived with Baoshan to train until he is ten and leaves the mountain to change the fate of the world. This time, Baoshan steps in and takes in the Dafan Wens and they are saved from the tyranny of Wen Ruohan and the Lanling Jin Sect.
