Hermione spies on Luicus and Severus during their activities in the library one night

This story takes place after the war. Severus Snape survives Nagini's bite. This is a story about Astoria Alderlade, whose mother hides a dark past. Astoria begins her life at Hogwarts as a mediwitch, working under Madam Pomfrey. What happens when a certain potions professor gets injured, (thanks to a devious plot by 3 deatheaters), and Astoria has to rescue him and nurse him back to health. What will happen between Severus Snape and Astoria Alderlade. Read on and find out. ;) All Harry Potter characters belong to J.K Rowling and Warner Brothers. The character of Astoria, her grandparents, and parents are all my own making.

Who ever thought in a million years that it could have been Severus Snape who would help Hermione with one of her greatest challenges yet.

Of course Severus Snape was the only one Hermione could rely on to save Ron's life, but will he end up saving hers instead, or causing it utter ruin?

Fear. That's all. People all over the world were living their life in constant fear. Ever since Lord Voldemort succeeded in killing Harry Potter in 1998 the world was a complete mess. People were killed randomly, wizards and muggles alike. The world had nothing of its former beauty. The flowers were not blooming, the trees were all dead. Whole cities were nothing more than ruins and smoke. The sky was always the same colour, no one could tell whether it was day or night by looking at the solid black mass above their heads. In the midst of that, there was a small group who fought against Voldemort. They still tried to find a way to kill The Dark Lord and return life to this planet. A small group of people, who managed to survive the battle of Hogwarts were hiding in their hidden headquarters making plans. All they had were the few selected members of what formerly was the Order of the Phoenix and a flicker of hope, no matter how small it was. Even after 3 years, they had that little spark that kept them going.

Severus and Hermione had no desire to return to Hogwarts some ten years after the Battle finished. Hermione gets thrown into a forced marriage with no one other than Severus Snape. Of course, she hates it at first. And her friends hate her for it. But she can't help falling in love with him. With him, she feels a lot safer. She took a man who thought he could never be happy again and showed him the light. She loves him. He loves her. And to them, that's all that matters.
