Book #1 in The Bonds of Fate Series "Excuse me sirs, but I think one of you dropped something." She spoke, her eyes not entirely fixed on them. Her voice was angelic, he already loved it. He found himself thinking that he would be content to listen to the sound for the rest of his life. "Thank you, beautiful." The Alpha responded quickly, motioning to one of his pack members to pick it up. "You have very good hearing." "Well, I guess it's compensation" She chuckled slightly, "I mean, these don't do me any good." She gestured towards her eyes, turning more towards where the sound of his voice had originated from. "I hadn't noticed that you were..." He trailed off. Though surprised, his desire and need for his mate never decreased. "Blind?" *** For Leora Kotas, life in Willsden Brooke was a continuous cycle. In every stupid and cliché teen fiction story, there's always the blonde cheerleader that people think is a complete bitch and acts as the sinister antagonist of the story. Sorry to disappoint, but I'm that blonde cheerleader that people think is a complete bitch and acts as the sinister antagonist of the story. Is it my fault that I was born with this hair color or with the blue eyes? Is it my fault that I worked hard to be the leader of the cheer team? And how come there's always this goody-two-shoes who comes in and rains on my parade? Let's list off the criteria: Blonde? Obviously. Blue eyes? Like, as you say, "a reflection of the ocean" Cheerleader? Complete with the uniform. Bimbo? My grades beg to differ. A bitch? I'm not even going to deny it. Antagonist? Well, I'll let you be the judge of that.

She is the bad girl. Mean. Sarcastic. Tattoos. Piercings. Ripped jeans. Bad grades. Disruptive. That's how one would describe Annalisa Evans. He is the good boy. Quiet. Used. Walked over. Four eyes. Smart. Good grades. Tacky sweaters. That's how one would describe Kade Mathis. What if, this wasn't the case. What if, that were a cover up. What if, the bad girl isn't actually the bad girl. What if, the good boy, isn't actually the good boy. But if that were true, then who does the senior grade really know.

Voted "Most Likely to Join the Circus" consecutively by Killian High's past three 2009-2011 published yearbooks, and as said by practically every person in the entire school, Derek Wells is the school's ultimate class clown. Seriously, if you're ever in need of a good laugh just go to him and he'll have you clapping your hands and shaking with quiet laughter like some dumb seal. The biggest joke of all to him was love. What was that? It was just some mushy, four-letter word that somehow could make a girl either swoon or cry or slap you in the face depending on the circumstances. So when Derek puts on his newly-acquired glasses for the first time in school, he doesn't expect to see Gwen, one of his closest friends, in a completely different light. Suddenly when she smiles, it feels as if something is crawling around in his stomach and he isn't sure if it's the suspicious crab he had for dinner the night before or gas. When Derek confesses his feelings to her, of course she's going to take it as one big joke. It seems that "the funniest kid in the school" can't say those three words without having someone wait expectantly for the punch line. Will Derek prove to Gwen that he can be serious when he needs to be? Or will she just wind up laughing in his face?
