C.W. Brown has opened a convenience store in the city of Holt. Unfortunately, he has completely misunderstood what a convenience store is. To C.W., convenience is not bread, candles, ink, or neatly stocked shelves. It is a lost ticket found at the right moment, a broken hinge no longer catching, a tired stranger reaching the front of a queue just before giving up. As a witch, C.W. can make life easier for others, but never for himself. His magic must remain anonymous, his good deeds forgotten, and his presence politely overlooked. All he wants is to help ordinary people live slightly less difficult lives. Holt may not be ready for him. And C.W. may not be ready for Holt.
