12 years after the battle of Beacon, Nightmare Satero and Ruby Rose married and had a daughter, who they named after Ruby's mom, Summer. Also roughly around 1 year after the events of Red vs. Blue season 13, a bounty hunter by the name of Locus came to Remnant because of rumors that revolve around his ex partner Felix surviving the final battle of Chorus. Locus said he would make things right, but Felix is too dangerous to leave alive. In order to save lives of countless others, Locus must kill his former partner and make sure no one suffers from his insanity.

Nightmare has a troubled past behind him and is very good at hiding it from people around him, except for Ruby. She always had a way to find out what she wanted and learning about Nightmare's past was no challenge to her. So on the third date they went out into Vale and found a nice park to go to and that's when Nightmare finally opens up to her. He had only told the main facts about his past to his friends, but the missions he undertook that he hadn't mentioned have haunted him for life. I don't own any assets from Halo or RWBY.
