He slammed against the titan's side. He didn't hear anything, but he thought he felt a crack in his side. Pain erupted like fire in his abdomen. He groaned. Shaking his head, he tried to clear his senses. Why had the titan stopped?" Will the past destroy the future? It is a time of great upheaval. Wall Maria has fallen. Levi is lost to himself. Joining the games in hopes to gain her freedom, Sly wasn't expecting to come out of the arena alive, much less coming out a legend. After losing the last person she has, Sly finds herself about to go back in and fight again. This time, with the person she murdered. This fic started in May 2019 meaning the plot was planned then and as more lore and the game gets changed there will be inaccuracies between this and what is canon. So I've played several of the Assassin's Creed games but I always loved Altair. There's so much history and backstory to him that we never discover and aspects of his personality that we just didn't get to see. As the first, he seemed like a very flat character and I just couldn't get the idea out of my head of fleshing him out and exploring more of his life. Of course I then couldn't resist throwing a stubborn, hot-headed lady cop from our time at him to watch the fireworks. Please let me know if you spot any mistakes!
