The first in the Gone trilogy. ❝People change. Memories don't. ❞ I had that one person. That one person who would be my brightness in the dullest of days (trust me, there were a lot) just by gracing me with his presence. The frown that was permanently etched on my face would always seemingly dissipate into the happiness I felt when we'd meet up, running into his arms like he was my safe place. Everyone expected him to have someone, but no one thought it'd be me. No one wanted it to be me. Looking back on it now, it seemed like a typical love story. Him, the kind and gentle-hearted boy and I, the rude and cold-hearted girl. He wasn't kind, he wasn't gentle-hearted because if he was, then he wouldn't have left. Without a word. His lack of words towards me doesn't mean that I'm left speechless. In fact, I have a thousand words wanting to just slip off my tongue right this moment. Just because he's gone. The second in the Gone trilogy. Sequel to Gone. ❝If it's meant to be, they'll come back. ❞ I knew how I wanted my love story to play out. Only, this pesky thing called life got in the way of things and messed everything up. I messed everything up, which caused restless nights for myself due to my innervating thoughts. It was my fault, but I had my reasons. Still, I was stupid. How could I have hurt her like this? We make decisions irrationally sometimes, which cause pain upon others - only we don't realise it at the time. Yet, we're human. We are allowed to do these things, right? I'm going to rectify my mistakes. Emma, I'm back. [HIGHEST- #205 13/09/2015] Cover by my dear friend John. Finished editing in February 2016.
