And maybe that was true- after all, he had placed faith in Loki, only to be stabbed in the back. But he had also been told that he never gave up, so he wouldn't, even if that meant putting everything he had ever worked for on the line. Or The aftermath of Loki stepping through that portal featuring sarcastic banter, lots of angst, actual representation, two idiots falling in love, and maybe, just maybe, some jet skis.
