Since around the age of the Roman Empire, they were harmless. Creatures that hid, invisible, under a layer of reality, like a blanket. From this "blanket", they watched the human race progress and change. It wasn't until the year 2044 that the Gilded showed their true colors. The Gilded led what will be known as "The First Apocalypse", wiping out 97% of the population. Roland, a seventeen year old teenager living in the year 2017, is abruptly brought into a mission to prevent earth's impending downfall. The downfall that was doomed to come 27 years from now.
