Copyright ©2015 "He is very handsome, Serene," Trinity complimented with a forged swoon for affect. "Very good catch, indeed." "Even though he's Enigma?" I asked. She pursed her lips, looking down at me. "You'll have to sleep with an Enigma on Tuesday so you shouldn't feel so ashamed about it." She was right. I'd have to bed five princes this week (I'm not a whore, it's just tradition) and all of them from different kingdoms. "True." I stood up, looking in the mirror one last time. I wore a transparent white dress hugging my curves, waves of hair flowing down my shoulders and back, and my blue eyes dusted with hints of gold flecks. That was all the makeup I wanted, Trinity telling me it was sweat proof very provocatively, hinting at tonight. The clock chimed seven. "You and I both know that any girl would kill to be in your position, with me, right now." He smirks, knowing that what he's said is completely and utterly true. Lea Wilson and River Parker don't mix; they don't like the same things, their lives are majorly different. But, what if these two people who are least expected to spend time with each other are doing exactly that? And, not only at school but at home as well. After Lea's house falls apart due to a termite infestation, the Wilson's are invited to stay at an old family friend's mansion of a house. The family friend also happens to be River's father. I'll give you time to digest that information. Yes, you're right. The sarcastic nerd and the egotistical heart-throb live under the same roof and encounter a series of events that make the two do something they didn't think would happen. They grow closer, and closer, and closer, until...well, you'll have to find that out for yourself. Follow them through their adventures of falling in love, getting their hearts broken, and learning lessons that explain there is more to life than they have ever imagined. [This book has officially been published and only a sample remains. See inside for details.] Nora Montgomery's primary goal was to remain seemingly unnoticed until graduation, and that meant staying away from Ryder Collins. But when both she and Ryder are selected to participate in the local police department's handcuff demonstration, they find themselves inescapably chained together. The tension between them is thick; filled with unresolved issues from their past friendship. But things get a whole lot worse when the officer loses the key and the pair are forced to accommodate each other until a replacement is available. Being handcuffed to the opposite gender was sure to introduce some extremely uncomfortable situations. Things are about to get awkward, right? 2013 Watty Awards Winner Most Popular, Mystery//Thriller

Mother's Day At The Orphanage is collection of semi-autobiographical short stories about odd jobs, fake businesses, mistaken identities, close shaves, and near misses, written by David Leigh Abts and Michael Shattuck, edited by Leslie Blodgett, and with the Foreword by Courtney Taylor-Taylor (Frontman of The Dandy Warhols). It is also a collaboration with guest NYC authors and Baltimore/D.C. artists - a chance for a bunch of friends who dig each other's creative work to get together and put something out, and asks the following burning questions. Has Art Garfunkel ever taken your putt-putt club? Was Michael Jackson the focus of your middle school science fair project? Have you ever tried to coax a moth out of your ear with a lamp?
